Due to a period of Parental leave, we have an opportunity for a Senior People and Culture Partner to join our Nova Operation on an 18-month contract. The roster is an 8:6, 4:3, 4:3 FIFO ex-Perth (or DIDO from surrounding areas), although negotiable if required.

Working closely with leaders across the Operation, you will provide guidance, support and education on all people and HR related matters, including employee relations, performance management, organisational development, succession and workforce planning and employee engagement.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Providing strategic and operational advice formed around contemporary People and Culture practice and operating models in a transforming organisation;
  • Leading industrial and employment relations matters including grievance investigations and disciplinary support;
  • Managing key People & Culture initiatives and business improvement projects to positively impact employee capability and engagement;
  • Coaching and up-skilling of leaders in people and performance management;
  • Oversee the implementation of the training and development program across the Operation; and
  • Complete monthly and ad-hoc organisation reporting requirements.



This is a unique opportunity to join our dedicated People & Culture team, working alongside a People and Culture Officer and receiving support as needed from our wider corporate P+C team.  Within this role you will be tasked with supporting day to day operations and continuing to execute the well-established strategy and culturing plan.

The successful candidate will be collaborative and approachable with a customer service focus, maintaining a friendly and professional approach.

You will also have the following:

  • Significant experience in a similar role (mining or heavy industry) with strong knowledge of Australian industrial and employee relations and legislation;
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or relevant discipline;
  • Demonstrated experience of partnering with the business in a diverse generalist P&C role resulting in positive results based outcomes;
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels;
  • Self-motivated and well organised to ensure the timely delivery of projects and tasks assigned to the role;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRI systems (Success Factors advantageous);
  • Valid ‘C’ class manual drivers licence, and
  • National Police Clearance obtained within the last three months and evidence of Covid vaccinations.
