Your Opportunity

Following a recent strategy and operating model review, our focus is on building the structure, skills and capabilities required for the next chapter of the IGO story.  Our Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs team are seeking applications for a “Head of” to cover a 12-month career break. This role exists to manage and lead IGO’s communication and engagement with stakeholders including employees, investors, media, government and the wider community, with the objective of building trust, understanding and engagement with IGO’s strategy and purpose.

Reporting to the Chief People and Sustainability your key accountabilities include:

  • Provide leadership to key functional roles across investor relations, internal communication and government relations
  • Develop and lead the implementation of IGOs internal and external communication and brand strategy
  • Lead and deliver IGO’s engagement with the investment community including shareholders, analysts and other stakeholders
  • Lead media engagement & crisis communication function
  • Provide counsel to executive and Board on stakeholder management risks and opportunities.

About Your Experience

Along with an influential communication style and pro-active attitude, you must be a team player and bring the following

skills:

  • Significant experience working in Corporate Affairs and/or Investor Relations;
  • Knowledge of the mining and resources sector and experience working for an ASX listed business;
  • Exceptional communication abilities (both written and verbal) with an ability to distill complex strategic, financial and market related information;
  • Established networks across funds management, sell-side analysts, investment banking, media and broader industry;
  • Ability to build relationships both internally and externally;
  • Experience and confidence in working with Executive and Board;
  • Bachelor level qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Communication or a related field; and  
  • National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
