Your Opportunity

The Exploration Field Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of IGO’s exploration work. You will be the linchpin that keeps our Field Team safe, effective and motivated, whether on greenfield projects or progressing brownfield targets. You'll lead by example, manage the logistics and people that make programs tick, and build the kind of trusted relationships with Traditional Owners, landholders and your own crew that turn good projects into great outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor and inspire your field team building a high-performance culture.
  • Champion safety leadership and actively promote IGO's positive safety culture.
  • Drive operational excellence through effective onsite planning, scheduling and resource optimisation.
  • Manage budgets and logistics, including field staff, equipment and capital expenditure.
  • Build meaningful relationships with Traditional Owners, their representatives and private landholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, standards, procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Lead and maintain a safe and inclusive work environment, taking reasonable and proportionate measures to uphold a respectful workplace.

 

What You’ll Bring

We are seeking applications from people who have extensive experience in remote exploration and have a collaborative and empowering leadership style. You must also be able to demonstrate most of the following: 

  • Significant experience across all aspects of remote exploration, heritage, earthworks and community relations;
  • Demonstrated success leading a team in a high risk / remote exploration environment;
  • Statement of Attainment for the Work Health and Safety (WHS) for Statutory Supervisors Skill Set;
  • IV Frontline management and leadership (desirable);
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide a diverse and inclusive culture;
  • Experience developing procedures and safe work instructions;
  • A strong commitment to safety, environment and heritage;
  • HR/MR class licence, 4WD and Backhoe/Loader ticket;
  • High risk work license, Forklift, Vehicle loading crane (desirable); and
  • A recent National Police Clearance (within 2 months).
