Your Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract and provide support across Infrastructure, Systems and Cyber Security. You will have the unique opportunity to work alongside a high performing team and deepen your experience in this varied role.  You will be supporting the team in the design, implementation and maintenance of core technology infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability across network, server, and cloud environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Platform Administration (Systems & Cloud):
    • Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, including patching and performance tuning.
    • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
    • Design and manage resources in AWS, Azure, or GCP, leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Network Engineering:
    • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
    • Optimise WAN, LAN, and WLAN connectivity and performance.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance:
    • Implement security best practices across infrastructure components.
    • Manage security tools (IDPS, SIEM, endpoint protection) and conduct regular audits.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal security policies.

 

What You’ll Bring

You will be customer focused, have a willingness to learn and contribute to a small team and be flexible in your approach. We are ideally seeking candidates who meet most of the following;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in an IT infrastructure role (hybrid environments);
  • Expertise in Windows Server and Linux administration, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python);
  • Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP) and enterprise hardware configuration;  
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP);
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles (essential);
  • Certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or AWS/Azure credentials are highly desirable; and
  • Recent National Police Clearance (within 2 months).
