Your Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Risk and Compliance Advisor to join our broader Legal team on a fixed term contract to support the development, rollout and implementation of IGO’s Compliance Management Framework.

Within this critical role you help set us up for future success by providing a professional advisory service with an emphasis on partnering with the business to embed practices, foster culture and deliver coaching to stakeholders.

Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance your key accountabilities include:

  • Co-create and foster IGO’s desired compliance management culture through regular communication and coaching;
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust compliance management reporting processes to support informed decision-making;
  • Provide timely insights including subject matter contributions to IGO’s external reports (e.g. Annual and Sustainability Reports);
  • Provision of compliance management support and guidance to first line operations, major capital projects, and other business units;
  • Maintenance of the compliance management module of the Guardian system, including developing training material and coaching users; and
  • Actively participate in and provide support to project work within the Risk and Compliance team.

 

About Your Experience

Along with an influential communication style and pro-active attitude, you must be a team player and bring the following skills:

  • Experience in a similar role with a good working knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks and processes;
  • Prior experience working with a Governance Risk and Compliance System (GRCS);
  • Ability to understand and interpret legislation;
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills across a broad audience;
  • Highly adaptable and ability to work effectively in a growing and changing environment;
  • A sharp eye for detail and accuracy;
  • A strong grasp of Microsoft Office suite; and
  • National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
