Roster:                 Fixed Term to December 2026 | 8:6 (Wednesday) roster

Your Opportunity

Applications are open for a Senior Advisor People & Culture at our Nova Nickel Operation. This role will suit a highly experienced HR professional who thrives on employee engagement and partnering with leaders to coach and advise on all people and culture related matters. You will be supported by a centralised People team with deep expertise and a collaborative spirit.

 

Why This Role Matters

This role plays a critical part in shaping the final chapter of the Nova story. Our Nova operation is due to cease production in late 2026 and will move into closure. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a high-performing, motivated team and continue the work that has been done to build engagement as we safely and proudly bring Nova to a close.

 

What You’ll Do

  • General Employee Lifecycle Support across Employee Relations, Organisational Development, Employee Engagement, Succession and Workforce Planning.
  • Coaching and upskilling leaders in all areas of people and performance management.
  • Champion Change Management Programs to increase people capability and continue to motivate, engage and retain people until end of mine life.
  • Develop, lead and implement business improvement projects that will maximise HR processes, systems and operational efficiency.

 

What You’ll Bring

Along with your passion for people and a positive outlook we are seeking applications from candidates who meet most of the following:

  • Significant experience in a similar role (mining or heavy industry) with strong knowledge of Australian IR / ER laws;
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline;
  • Proven success partnering with leaders in a diverse generalist P&C role resulting in positive outcomes;
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels;
  • Self-motivated and well organised to ensure the timely delivery of projects and tasks assigned to the role;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS (Success Factors advantageous);
  • Valid ‘C’ class manual drivers licence; and
  • National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
