Your Opportunity

Within this role as a Bioleaching Data Analyst you will support IGO’s Critical Minerals Development Laboratory by managing, analysing, and interpreting complex datasets. You’ll develop predictive models and tools that help optimise process performance and communicate insights through high-quality reports and presentations.

What You’ll Do

  • Data Management & Validation: Clean, validate, and securely store datasets; liaise with consultants to optimise data formats for AI modelling;
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: Analyse data from a range of testwork and other sources to identify trends and correlations; collaborate with specialists to enhance understanding of ore characteristics and performance;
  • Modelling: Assist in developing predictive models using process modelling software; apply AI tools in model development;
  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare technical reports, visualisations, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders; and
  • Collaboration: Work closely with microbiologists, metallurgists, laboratory staff and other technical subject matter experts; support integration of data into broader project models.

 

What You’ll Bring

This role will suit a detail-oriented, analytical professional with strong technical expertise and a collaborative mindset. We are ideally seeking candidates who meet most of the following;

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field, such as Chemistry, Microbiology, Data Science, Metallurgy or Mineral Processing;
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software packages;
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team;
  • Experience in mining, mineral processing, or biohydrometallurgy (desirable);
  • Familiarity with leaching processes and testwork methodologies (desirable);  
  • Experience with time-series and experimental datasets (desirable); and
  • A recent National Police Clearance (within 2 months).
