Your Opportunity

Following a recent strategy and operating model review, our focus is on building the structure, skills and capabilities required for the next chapter of the IGO story.  We are now seeking a Senior Advisor, External Affairs & Investor Relations to join our IR & corporate affairs team and work closely with management, stakeholders and the market. Within this newly created role you will be directly involved in developing IGO’s key messaging and communicating this to external stakeholders in a consistent, professional and strategic manner.  

Reporting to the Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs your key accountabilities include:

 

  • Developing key external messaging for the IGO Group and communicating this to external stakeholders;
  • Driving strategic communication and media engagement for the IGO Group;
  • Providing support to the Investor Relations function;
  • Managing key external events, speaking opportunities and associated marketing;
  • Developing external communication materials (Presentations, ASX announcements, media releases, Annual & Sustainability Reports, external publications); and  
  • Acting as the key liaison between the company and external communication consultants.  

 

About Your Experience

Along with an influential communication style and high level of commercial acumen, you must be a team player and bring the following skills:

  • Strong understanding of the external communication requirements of an ASX listed company;
  • First-hand experience working in the Corporate Affairs/Investor Relations space of a mining / resources company;
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public/Corporate Affairs or Investor Relations;  
  • Outstanding communication and professional writing skills;
  • Experience with developing professional marketing materials;
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships, and work collaboratively in a small team;
  • Direct experience with reputation management and established relationships with key media would be desired; and
  • National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
